WOJAMAMA ASIA CITY COMPLEX

A famous Japanese restaurant in Kota Kinabalu. Located in asia city complex, this is one of the shop that stayed on after most shops there closed due to loss of profit.

For some unknown reason, this place is now called WOJAMAMA after years of being called wagamama. The food's taste just the same but the menu looks different and the renovation is now more comforting to the eyes. I guess they added few items on their menu there's just 2 things that's amiss. The butterfish which is supposed to look white creamy Looks brownish as if it's about to rott! Perhaps I'm not a fish expert, but I would love to see a fresh looking fish in front of me. The other one is the rice. Sushi rice doesn't have that sushiness in it. I was hoping to bite on something sweet savoury vinegar rice but what I got was dry, tasteless rice. Garlic rice should be fragrant and a bit sticky hard yet soft on your mouth too bad theirs aren't..
The rest of the food and the environment are satisfactory. Salmon head is cheap too. Enjoy your meal everyone.

KINABALU PARK SUTERA SANCTUARY LODGES

After 3 days of fresh mountain air, it was time to go back home. But before doing so, we stopped by Kinabalu Park, to have our lunch.

A Malaysia's first UNESCO World heritage site, it never fail's to mesmerize it's patrons. Such a wonderful place to forget your troubles and sunk into the cool breeze while listening to the chirping birds and the sound of trees swaying, dancing to the music of the mountains. What a beautiful place to be.

Kinabalu Park  Lodging

Mount Kinabalu

As we stepped in Liwagu restaurant(manage by Sutera), a feeling of comfort and fulfillment  touches  my  soul.  Below  are  the  images  captured  from  Liwagu Restaurant:-

After  Sutera Harbour Resort Kota Kinabalu had taken over the management,  this  place  turned  into  a  more  friendly  and  well  manged  retreat  centre.

BUt!

If  you  want  a  food  thats  value  to  your  money,  your  better  off  enjoying  your  meal  on  the  other  side  of  the  street.  I  am  not  saying  "Don't  eat  n  liwagu  restaurant,  it's  expensive!"  No.  What  i  mean with  "value  for  money  food"  is  something  that  even  though   you  have  to  pay  more,  you  are  satisfied not  only  with  the  service  but  by  the  taste  of  your  morsel as  well. For  example:-

1. Food  should  arrive  within  30minutes  of  ordering.(Since  there  are  3  tables  to  wait and  2  of  it  is  just  waiting  for  their  bill/check.)

2. The  toilet  should  be  working  properly.

3.  You  don't have to stand  infront  of  the cashier and wait  for  10 minutes  just  so  she could  count  her  money.

4. Most  of all, the  food  should  be satisfying.

Nasi Lemak Verdict:
Chicken curry -thumbs down(Mamak's  curry tastes 10times better)
Sambal  -thumbs  down(sour)
Rice -thumbs down(Too  mushy.  Almost  porridge texture )

Nasi  Goreng Liwagu (Fried rice)  Verdict:
Rice -thumbs  down (Tasteless,  mushy  and  almost  porridge  texture)
Fried  wing  -thumbs  down (Not  properly  cleaned.  Few  more  feathers and  the  wing  could  fly)

Saute'd  kailan -oklah

With  disappointment,  we  have  accepted  the  fact  that  the  food  tasted  better  before  Sutera  took  over  the  kitchen.
